While in the Bible School in Nigeria, Pastor George received the mandate to go to Mankessim in the Central Region of Ghana to start a ministry. This was like the Macedonian call and upon his return to Ghana in 1992 he worked with Manna Mission Church, Teshie-Accra for a while before relocating to Mankessim. Pastor George and Florence left for Mankessim to pioneer and established God’s Battle Axe Missions now known as Floodgates Destiny Chapel in 1994. The ministry has touched hundreds of people especially the students of Mankessim Senior Secondary School, children, youth and market women. Our outreach programs extended to Breman Essikuma, Dewuranpong, Anasadzi, Ansafona, Bentisgua and many other towns in and around Mankessim. The church is located at Agric Junction, School Kessim, Ajumako Road. Rev. Solomon Amoansah is the Senior Pastor of the church in Mankessim. Rev. Stephen Awotwe (Liberty Center) is the Acting Overseer of the Ghana Mission.
Floodgates Audio/Visual Ministry – The Floodgates Audio/Visual Ministry in Ghana reaches out to hundreds and thousands of people in the unreached and unchurched towns and villages with the “Jesus Film” and many other Christ-Centered movies. This Cinema evangelism is a powerful and effective tool for open air crusades, revival meetings and church planting. Our partners are InterComm (Winona Lake, Indiana) and Gospel Communications International (Muskegon, Michigan) in the United States.
